Wan Zhenshan personality type is ESTJ, so on the one hand we have the typical Type A personality, who is functional and rational, but with a strong ability to lead.
On the other hand we have the Type B, who is more self-deprecating, and more emotional and creative. This is possibly why he ended up leading the underground resistance movement against the Japanese. The Japanese were the “good guys”, but still. I’m sure not all that many people would have supported the resistance movement from start to finish, although I suppose it’s a better option than an all out Chinese invasion.
The last personality type is the one we are most familiar with, which is the INTJ. He is a deep thinker, and can be rather cold and logical, although he can also be quite emotional at times. His determination to fight to the end against the Japanese occupation is a good example of this. He was willing to sacrifice his own life in order to destroy the enemy, and in doing so he would have been sacrificing his own future.
The man was willing to give up his own future in order to make the world a better place.
