Ginny Danburry personality type is ISFP, but she’s not just a pretty face. She was the one to take the lead and lead the others in mapping out the route and doing all the research, and she’s really passionate about hiking and about helping others. I’m very proud of her for taking the initiative and doing what she could to make it happen.
And we all want to make sure that all the young people who are getting into the program get what they need. The second part of our work is to make sure that we’re giving them the right skills necessary for them to live their lives and live well in this world. As much as we can, we try to give them these tools so that they can continue to grow and thrive.
UC: How did you come up with the idea for this program?
JS: This one kind of started two years ago when I was in a meeting with our campus diversity officer and a representative from Hillel. And their goal was to bring in more Jewish students to campus, and they knew that there were a lot of Jewish students who wanted to get involved in social justice but didn’t know how.
