Arthur Pickwickle personality type is INTP, with a little bit of INFP thrown in for good measure, though this does not show in my writing. INTPs are the ultimate intellectual and are the least likely to be swayed by the more emotional arguments around them. They tend to be 'data cleanse' purists, and will never accept anything that doesn't fit their theories. It's almost impossible to change their mind if they have already made up their mind, but then again, they are the most likely to be able to hold their own in a debate, so you may have an easier time swaying them. If you can get them interested in something then they will go through great lengths to ensure they understand it fully (no small feat), and will go through great lengths to find out just what exactly is happening and why.
With their logical, analytical mind it's no wonder that their conversations tend to be very abstract and often end up being about some kind of algorithm or system or other mathematical construct. They can also be quite intuitive, though this can be a hindrance when they try to translate the insights they get from their own world into something that others can understand.
