I would not say that the MBTI is a real measure of personality, but rather an indicator. The MBTI seems to be a good indicator of my personality, but it cannot tell me anything about my personality. It suggests that I am INTP because of my preference for logic and understanding and it suggests that I am ISTP because I like to get things done, but it cannot tell me why I like to get things done.
My best guess is that I like to get things done because I want to understand. This does not make any sense to me, because logic and understanding are things that are useful only in the abstract, and they are not useful at all unless you can put them into practice. Logic and understanding are very useful for understanding the things that I want to understand, but they are not useful for doing things that I want to do.
So why do I like to get things done? I do not know.
