This woman is a very different character to the one we saw in the first film. Not only has she changed physically, she seems to have changed internally as well. She’s more confident and determined, but also more aggressive. She’s still obviously capable of caring deeply, but she’s also capable of being quite aggressive at times. It’s a very interesting dichotomy. This is definitely a different Christine Chiu in the sequel.

And then there’s her love interest, played by Geoff Stults. He’s clearly supposed to be the OTP of the sequel, but I don’t know if I’m totally on board with their relationship. He’s not really that great of a guy, but he’s also not that bad of a guy.
