The MBTI’s description of INTP personalities describes them as “deeply in their own minds.” Whereas other types of personality, such as the ISTJ, may do well with following directions, INTPs prefer to take the path that leads them to their own answers.
Though they may not always be especially assertive, INTPs are highly imaginative and often show a deep connection with the material they’re studying.
“I’m very good at learning new things,” Chris explains. “The minute I see something I’m interested in, I will find out everything I can about it. I do well in that kind of environment.”
INTPs have a creative streak, and often find themselves drawn to new fields, such as science and technology. They’re also known for being highly independent and making their own decisions, which can make them difficult to follow.
