They are not nearly as adept at understanding people and their motivations, emotions, and values.
Elementalists are driven to understand the world around them. They are constantly trying to understand the principles that govern it, as well as how it works and how it can be improved. In fact, they often become so focused on this goal that they overlook how these principles affect themselves, such as how they can make their lives better by understanding how to better understand the world around them.
However, just because Elementalists are focused on understanding the world around them does not mean they are mechanically minded (as many other types are). Elementalists are only interested in understanding the principles that govern the world around them. They may even have a hard time understanding how things work if those things don't involve principles that relate to those that Elementals are focused on.
Elementalists are multifaceted spellcasters who channel elemental forces, making fire, air, earth, and water do their bidding. What they lack in physical toughness, they make up for in versatility and the ability to inflict massive damage.
