There is a legitimate debate over which personality type is most dominant in people who have a high level of emotional intelligence, but one thing is certain: there is no one right answer. Not everyone who has a high emotional intelligence is an ENFP or an ENTP.
I can’t speak for everyone, but I know that I have made many emotional intelligence mistakes throughout my life. I am certain that many of my readers have done the same.
However, I would like to make a case for why ENTPs are the most emotionally intelligent personality type.
An ENTP’s focus is often internal, and the two dominant functions for ENTPs are Extraverted Intuition and Introverted Thinking (Ti). These two functions are also the two functions most commonly associated with NEURON, which is the part of the brain that processes emotional information.
ENFPs and ENTPs are more similar than they are different from each other, but I’ll get into the differences between these two personality types in just a minute.
