    ENFP

    ENFP (XwX)

Mohamedou Ould Slahi personality type is ENFP, which means he’s probably the most extroverted of all the Al-Qaeda detainees. As the Guardian’s report notes, he’s also a “brilliantly articulate, warm and engaging man” who was well known to the CIA before his capture. The article quotes a former Guantánamo prisoner who says Slahi called him a “liar” for trying to tell him about the CIA program.

Slahi’s value to the United States is clear. He was one of the first detainees to be interrogated at Guantánamo, and he provided information that led to the capture of Ramzi bin al-Shibh, one of al-Qaeda’s most important operatives. His information also helped U.S. agencies target al-Shabab members in Africa.

As the report notes, Slahi later said he was tortured at Guantánamo by being told by interrogators that he would never see his family again. He was then transported to Bagram Air Force Base in Afghanistan in a limo and beaten by U.S. soldiers there, who had earlier falsely accused him of being an al-Qaeda member.
