Jay Rock personality type is ISTP, so to me, his rhyming style doesn't feel like he's trying too hard to sound smart, but that he's actually being very natural.
I think this is what makes his music so appealing to me. He doesn't have to do too much to make me feel his words. Like, I feel like I'm clearly taking in his message, even if I can't put it exactly into words.
I don't know how this is possible, but I'm starting to realize that I don't really have a "favorite" Kendrick Lamar song. There are some I like more than others, but none of them stand out as the best. I'll probably go back and listen to them years from now and see if they still hold up.

It's a song I've heard before, and it reminds me of a moment when I was in a pretty dark place. It's a combination of the emotion and the music that makes the song so memorable for me.

Rock signed to the independent record label Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) in 2005.[2] In 2007, alongside TDE, Rock secured a recording contract with Warner Bros. Records and later Asylum Records, but mergers fell through and Rock ended up leaving the label shortly after. He then signed with Tech N9ne's Strange Music, in a joint-venture record deal.[3] Apart from his solo career, Rock is also known for being a member of the hip hop supergroup Black Hippy, alongside fellow West Coast rappers and TDE label-mates Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q and Ab-Soul. In 2019, Jay Rock received a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance for "King's Dead".
