Pete Best’s career choice was not random. His parents, who had emigrated from Poland, were very interested in business and would often take their kids to work with them. Pete was obviously very interested in music and spent many hours playing and singing around the house and around the neighborhood.
Pete was a big Beatles fan and would often sing along with them. His parents encouraged his interest in show business, as there were many opportunities for musicians in England. Pete’s father was a former concert pianist who had been a member of the Philharmonic Orchestra. He had been trained as a conductor as well as a pianist, and his parents had sent him to a music school as a young man.
