John Zorn personality type is INTP, but he also has a few other types too (although they're mostly brushed off as 'the other one'). He has an interesting technique of using music to convey ideas - he looks at the sounds of music and uses them to convey ideas. You can hear this in the majority of his compositions, although it's less pronounced than in some other composers. For example, you can hear it in 'Sound & Vision' (Penderecki), 'The Book of the Raven' (Cage), 'Stick It Out' (Cage), 'The Fall of the House of Usher' (Cage) and 'The Rake's Progress' (Turner).
However, it's not just about taking a sound and using it as a way to convey ideas - the main idea with Zorn is that he actually creates a new sound from a combination of sounds. It's a difficult thing to describe, but if you take a few of the music he's written, you'll understand what I mean - his music often consists of several different sounds which are combined to make a new sound. Take for example 'Nose In The Air' from 'Music for Tourists':
