McClendon, also known as Classic J, is an American musician, producer and singer-songwriter known for their band, Glass Beach, in which they released their debut album, The First Glass Beach Album, on May 18th, 2019. McClendon identifies as non-binary, and is known for their theatrical vocal performance and often confessional lyrics, tinging their indie rock/power pop group with elements of emo pop, pop punk, math rock, neo-psychedelia and even video game-sounding MIDI synths to create a sense of mystique and nostalgia in their already eclectic sound.
