There’s a lot to like about The Postal Service: The use of vocal harmony and repetition, the dreamy and melancholic sound, and their general eccentricity. It’s a very unique piece of music; it’s one of those records that you can blast on your headphones and not hear anything wrong with it, and that’s a huge compliment for a record like this. It’s a great pleasure to listen to, and I highly recommend it.
Wikipedia: Jeff Mangum is an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, best known for his work as the lyricist, vocalist and guitarist of the band Neutral Milk Hotel. He is best known for his complex, lyrically dense songwriting, apparent on the critically lauded album In the Aeroplane Over the Sea. In April 2015, Neutral Milk Hotel embarked upon their "last tour for the foreseeable future" including dates with Dot Wiggin and Circulatory System. Their final show took place at the Phoenix Theater, Petaluma, CA on June 11.
