INFJs want to get to the truth of things and will try to get to know you and your intentions before committing themselves. They want others to trust them and they also want others to trust them so they can get to the truth of things. INFJs are very values driven and even though they don't want to force their views on others, they feel they have a duty to try and help others get to know themselves and grow. Because of this, INFJs can be pretty socially awkward.

INFJs are very sensitive to social cues and will do their best to avoid making scenes in public places. They want to be around people but don't want to put them under too much pressure or scrutiny. INFJs, like the rest of the Idealist personality type, struggle with boundaries and can sometimes struggle with boundaries in general. They can struggle with having enough space in their lives and even more so when they feel like they've been pushed too far and/or crossed some invisible line. INFJs feel like they need to be around people and sometimes aren't sure if they should make small talk or leave a situation without feeling like they were rude, intrusive, or stood-out.
