Santería personality type is ESFP, and it would be interesting to see if politicians with ESFP as their dominant temperament would be better at understanding and relating to people than those with another dominant temperament.
I think the most interesting thing would be to compare how different religious groups view one another. A study I read once said that the more similar the groups, the less conflict there is between them, and vice versa. I wonder what would happen if we compared different types of churches and different religions.
As an example of the differences between church groups, I would like to compare the US and UK churches. The US churches are all Protestant and the UK churches are all Anglican. A study on the differences between the two groups found that they were most likely to be found in the middle-class or wealthy areas, with higher education levels, and that they were more likely to attract women, members of minority ethnicities, and those who were single.
In their views on homosexuality, the United States is much more tolerant than the UK.
Santería, also known as Regla de Ocha, Regla de Ifá, or Lucumí, is an Afro-American religion that developed in Cuba between the 16th and 19th centuries. It arose through a process of syncretism between the traditional Yoruba religion of West Africa and the Roman Catholic form of Christianity. There is no central authority in control of the movement, which comprises adherents known as creyente and initiates known as santeros (males) and santeras (females). Santería is polytheistic, involving the veneration of deities known as oricha. These are often identified both as Yoruban gods as well as Roman Catholic saints.
