ESTJ (8w9)
King personality type is ESTJ, but I think the “E” is enough to make this distinct from the ISTJ, the ESTP, the ISTP, and the ESFJ. The extra “E” is a good indication that they’re also a natural leader, not just a go-along-to-get-along type.
By contrast, the ENTP, ESFP, and ENFJ have a developed Extraverted Intuition, which I discussed here. They also have a developed Extraverted Sensing, as well as a developed Extraverted Feeling. In other words, they have a developed INTJ’s “E” as well as an ISTJ’s “E.”
In my view, this indicates that INFJs tend to be somewhat shy and somewhat reluctant to lead. They also seem to be somewhat more honest and somewhat less manipulative than the other types (whether they’re really any less manipulative than the others is a discussion for another time).
The INFJ may be the least likely to be a leader of any of the sixteen types. But they’re not without their qualities: INFJs can be very good at leading.
