I’m also an INTP, and I think that most of my personality type’s defining traits are tied to my libertarian political views.
A Libertarian IS A Libertarian
Libertarians are characterized by their individualism, which means they’re independent thinkers.
This is something that I was born with.
My parents didn’t raise me to think for myself, but to obey the rules. And they never tried to control me through force or guilt.
I was always given the freedom to make choices for myself. And I was encouraged to figure out what works for me, instead of being told what to do.
This same thing is true of all libertarians. We were born free, and we know what it’s like to be free.
As a result, we don’t want anyone telling us what to do, or telling us how to be.
We don’t want government telling us how to be, either. We want the government out of our lives entirely.
Johann Kaspar Schmidt (October 25, 1806 – June 26, 1856), better known as Max Stirner, was a German philosopher. He is often seen as one of the forerunners of nihilism, existentialism, psychoanalytic theory, postmodernism, and individualist anarchism. Stirner's main work is The Ego and Its Own, also known as The Ego and His Own (Der Einzige und sein Eigentum in German, which translates literally as The Individual and His Property).
