    Silvio Luiz de Almeida (São Paulo, August 17, 1976) is a lawyer, philosopher and university professor. He is the author of the books "Structural Racism" (Polén, 2019), "Sartre: Law and Politics" (Boitempo, 2016) and "The Law in Young Lukács: The Philosophy of Law in History and Consciousness" ( Alpha-Omega, 2006). He also chairs the Luiz Gama Institute. In his works, he works with concepts by authors such as Sartre and György Lukács. In their texts, issues of minorities and inequalities are often addressed from a legal perspective, including "judicial activism", the role of the powers and the role of the police.
