After moving to Gotham City, Victor met and fell in love with Nora Fries, who he married. Together, they had a daughter named Nora.
As an adult, Victor became obsessed with creating life-extending technology. However, his technology was flawed, and he accidentally froze his wife to death during an experiment. He then went into hiding and became known as Mr. Freeze.
