    Roger Sperry

    Roger Wolcott Sperry (born in Hartford on August 20, 1913, and died in Pasadena on April 17, 1994) was an American neuropsychologist and neurophysiologist, known for his work on connections between the cerebral hemispheres, for which he was awarded a Lasker Prize in 1979 and the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1981, the latter shared with Torsten Wiesel and David Hunter Hubel.
