What is the personality type of Pierre-Simon Laplace? Which MBTI personality type best fits? Personality type for Pierre-Simon Laplace from Physics & Astronomy and what is the personality traits.
Pierre-Simon Laplace personality type is ENTJ, a rare combination of a firstness function and a secondness function or, as it is called by psychologists, a "superintellect", that is, a function that combines both the firstness function of the logical and calculating mind and the secondness function of the sensing and abstracting mind.
Socially, ENTJ's are unusual in that they usually don't fit easily into any particular group, but instead form their own group. ENTJ males tend to be leaders, and ENTJ females tend to be followers, although ENTJ men and women both like to be the ones that determine the course of events and do not like to be "followed." ENTJ's also tend to favor the theory of the "mob rule" over the "dictatorship of the elite".
ENTJ's are often considered very cold and calculating individuals, as they think about things really hard, and often see things in terms of logic rather than feelings. They often have an intense interest in the future, and may even plan for it.
ENTJ leaders are often very good at understanding what people want and need, and organize events so as to meet those needs.
Pierre-Simon, marquis de Laplace (French: [pjɛʁ simɔ̃ laplas]; 23 March 1749 – 5 March 1827) was a French scholar and polymath whose work was important to the development of engineering, mathematics, statistics, physics, astronomy, and philosophy. He summarized and extended the work of his predecessors in his five-volume Mécanique Céleste (Celestial Mechanics) (1799–1825). This work translated the geometric study of classical mechanics to one based on calculus, opening up a broader range of problems.
