He became a bandit for months after the destruction of Toad Tower in the season 1 finale "Reunion", until he was appointed by Jacinda, a Newtopian noble as the new leader of both Toad Tower and the Toad Army, a reorganized force consisting of the bandits which were the remains of the old army garrison.
