Security personality type is INTP, not INTJ
The Institute of Security and Privacy (the Institute) is an independent research institute founded by Ira Winkler, an expert in privacy engineering. It has compiled an excellent report on privacy risks in the personal data economy, called “Personal Data Economy: The Business of Consumer Data”.
The report is available for download here, with a 37-page executive summary, and an additional 33-page report on privacy risks related to the use of the digital economy by the personal data economy. The Institute concluded that,
. . . the current data-driven business model of the Personal Data Economy will lead to significant privacy risks to the consumers whose data are collected by the large data brokers. . . . The risks are significant enough that many consumers will find it difficult to participate in the Personal Data Economy without sacrificing data privacy.
The report reviews the kind of privacy risks that consumers face in using digital platforms. These include:
Data brokerage practices that often fail to be transparent to consumers;
Data brokerages that often allow high-risk uses of consumer data;
Data brokerages that fail to provide adequate protection to consumer data;
