Pasquale Cipro Neto (professor Pasquale) personality type is INTP, an INTJ in my opinion, but that's a debate for another time. It's something that can be difficult to accept in a world dominated by a fair amount of ENTPs, but they're often the people who aren't afraid to challenge the status quo and think outside of the box.
However, no matter how much I respect his work, I'm not going to give him a pass for the ridiculous things he said after the debate. Instead, I'm going to try to address what people identified as his most egregious errors.
"I'm sorry if I offended you, I was trying to be funny"
I am offended. I am offended not just because of what he said, but also because of the context in which he said it and the fact that he did not recognize that his actions were offensive.
I can't imagine that anyone watching this debate would think that Pasquale had anything but disdain for both Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, and I'm certain that many people would agree with me when I say that he exhibited some of the characteristics of an ENTP. If he had been on his best behavior and tried to be funny, this would be a different conversation.
Pasquale Cipro Neto (Guaratinguetá, 14 de junho de 1955), conhecido popularmente como Professor Pasquale, é um professor de língua portuguesa. Pasquale foi o idealizador do programa da TV Cultura Nossa Língua Portuguesa e colunista do jornal Folha de S.Paulo até dezembro de 2016. Pasquale nasceu em Guaratinguetá (SP), sendo filho de imigrantes italianos. Passou a infância em São Paulo, falando português, italiano e o dialeto napolitano e mais tarde aprendeu inglês e francês no ginásio e no colégio. É torcedor fanático do Juventus da Mooca.
Licenciou-se em Letras (Espanhol e Português) na Faculdade de Filosofia, Letras e Ciências Humanas da Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Pasquale foi professor de Português desde 1975, cargo que exerceu até 1998. Distinguiu-se por levar às salas de aula dos cursinhos pré-vestibulares não só os textos clássicos portugueses e brasileiros mas também jornais, anúncios de propaganda, histórias em quadrinhos e letras de música para análise dos alunos.
