John Tyler personality type is INTP, and I’m a big fan of the Myers-Briggs personality tests. I use them for my own purposes, but I also feel that they can give us a good idea of how we react to the world around us.
In particular, I think what people don’t appreciate about the Myers-Briggs type is that it tends to place us in a context. In Myers-Briggs theory, we each have four basic preferences: Extroverted (E), Introverted (I), Sensing (S), and Intuiting (N). There are other preferences that you can take into account: Thinking (T), Feeling (F), and Judging (J). You can read more about those preferences here.
The reason I think this is important for us as entrepreneurs is that we can use our Myers-Briggs results to better understand the needs of our customers and the needs of our company. If we understand our Myers-Briggs type, we can understand how our business might be perceived by our customers and we can also understand how our customers might perceive our business.

John Tyler (March 29, 1790 – January 18, 1862) was the tenth President of the United States, serving from 1841 to 1845 after briefly being the tenth Vice President (1841); he was elected to the latter office on the 1840 Whig ticket with President William Henry Harrison. Tyler ascended to the presidency after Harrison's death in April 1841, only a month after the start of the new administration. He was a supporter of states' rights, and as president he adopted nationalist policies only when they did not infringe on the powers of the states.
