Neurotic personality traits are not only amplified by the sociopathic tendencies, they are also amplified by the personality functions. The personality functions are, in essence, psychological structures that were designed to help the personality type to use the environment to its own advantage. The sociopathic tendencies are an attempt to use the environment to its own advantage. This creates a synergy between the two that amplifies the sociopathic tendencies.
The paradox is that this amplification of the sociopathic tendencies increases the likelihood that the person will act upon them (i.e., commit crime or act in an antisocial manner).
As you can see, the amplification of sociopathic tendencies does not make someone a sociopath. It makes them more likely to act upon their sociopathic tendencies.
This is why everyone who acts like a sociopath or does something antisocial is not a sociopath; they are only acting like a sociopath because they are more likely to act on their antisocial tendencies.
