Caliban personality type is INTP, the caretaker. In essence, this is a paranoid personality type that is hiding from the world. The caretaker is an introvert, however, and in the case of the character in the play, Caliban, his introversion is wrapped in an exterior that presents him as a monster.
The T in the INFJ acronym stands for “Thinking,” which is to say that this personality type is an intuitive introvert. The INFJ is also concerned with the future, has a strong sense of ethics, and has an aesthetic sense. Caliban, in contrast, is characterized by his feeling of being “reduced to the level of the brute beast.” He is so alienated from humanity that he can no longer feel at home in his own body. He even goes so far as to be able to see “the devil in the flesh” (1.1.44).
