Argus Filch personality type is ISTJ, as he is both a negative and a dependent. He is a negative because he is a very clingy and dependent type, and a dependent because he is an introvert with a lot of social anxiety.
His negative trait is a result of his extroverted / independent nature. He is driven by his own motivators. As a child, he was very self-sufficient, wanting to take care of things himself. This is often seen as an extroverted trait, but it causes him to be so driven that he doesn't see others as needing help either. He has to take care of everything. He does not see his interactions with others as needing to be driven by his own motivations, because he sees himself as doing the right thing for everyone else. He takes everything personally, and everything becomes about him.
His dependence trait comes from the fact that he is very introverted. He is shy and doesn't like to speak up or interact with people very much. If he can't do it himself, he won't do it at all. This makes him feel very alone and isolated.
His introversion also means that he doesn't like to talk much about people or situations, or make jokes about them.
Argus Filch was a Squib and the caretaker of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry since around 1973. Filch usually wandered around the school corridors with his cat Mrs Norris, trying to catch students breaking the school rules and complaining about Peeves the Poltergeist.
