Rusty The Dalek personality type is INFP, but I don't think they have a very strong desire for social acceptance. To the contrary, they have a very strong desire to see themselves as distinct from everyone else.
I think that's more a result of insecurity and a need for validation. They're very private, and a lot of their self-image is based on how they appear to others, which is a bit of a fragile thing. They don't want to be seen as a robot or a computer, even though they would probably be considered at least as intelligent as those people.
In some ways, I think the Doctor Who type is better suited to the role of Dalek because he's more comfortable with being different from everyone else, but it's a very thin line between the two.
Yeshua Justitia I'm not sure I agree with that statement. The Doctor is definitely an INFP by type, but he has enough extroversion to be able to function well in social situations. He's also very concerned with fitting in, which is why he sometimes acts so oddly during the early seasons. He's not just wallowing in his own thoughts, but he's experiencing social anxiety.
