H.P. Lovecraft personality type is INTP, and I used to be very INTP until I got to college and discovered the other side of the coin. Being a journalist and a writer, and not knowing anything about computers or publishing, I would have been a prime candidate for this type, but I don't think it ever showed up in my schoolwork. I'm sure that part of the reason it didn't show up in my writing was that I would be denying it. In my senior year at university I wrote a paper called "A Short History of the Evolution of Language". It was a two page paper, and it was about how all the languages evolved from the same source language. The way I wrote it was as if I was a linguist writing a paper for a linguistics class, and not a journalist writing a history of language for a journalism class. After I got that paper written, I was finished with the subject matter, so I turned in my paper and got an A. The thing is that I wrote that paper as if I was an INTP, even though I'm not.

He was virtually unknown and published only in pulp magazines before he died in poverty, but he is now regarded as one of the most significant 20th-century authors in his genre.
