Avant-garde personality type is ENFP, and a true artist would be a left-brained personality type, so a true artist would be an ENFP. It's only natural that humans would have the capacity for art, just as it's only natural that humans would have the capacity for music, art, and literature. Art is human, and humans are art.
What is definitely not natural is the almost unanimous social consensus that calls art “bad.” Society has already said that art is bad, but obviously an ENFP will disagree. And that's okay.
As far as I know, this is the only page on the internet that says that art is good. There are many pages that laud art, but I can't find any that say it's good. Most people would consider this to be an extremely bizarre thing to write, but it's true. Art is good. And I'm not the only one to think so.
Being good is not, however, what art is about. Art is not about being good; it's about being bad. Art is all about breaking rules and not giving a damn about what others think of you for doing so.
The avant-garde are people or works that are experimental, radical, or unorthodox with respect to art, culture, or society. It is frequently characterized by aesthetic innovation and initial unacceptability.
The avant-garde pushes the boundaries of what is accepted as the norm or the status quo, primarily in the cultural realm. The avant-garde is considered by some to be a hallmark of modernism, as distinct from postmodernism.[citation needed] Many artists have aligned themselves with the avant-garde movement, and still continue to do so, tracing their history from Dada through the Situationists and to postmodern artists such as the Language poets around 1981.
The avant-garde also promotes radical social reforms.
