He is also highly intelligent, being able to come up with multiple plans to defeat his childhood enemy, the World Government. He is also shown to be a very calm and collected person, never losing his cool or getting easily upset. He is also able to see through people’s lies, even while they are making them outwardly.
In his second appearance in the series, he’s shown to be very strong-willed and a very good fighter, as he is able to keep himself from getting hurt during his fight against Jinbei’s father, Nojiko. Also in this appearance, he has a habit of biting his tongue when he is about to speak, but does it less and less in later appearances. In his third appearance, he’s shown to be more relaxed and easy-going than his previous two appearances, and is shown to be quite the ladies’ man. He’s also shown to have a somewhat of a crush on Nico Robin.
