Akira Mabuchi (馬渕 晶, Mabuchi Akira) is a character in Yakuza: Like a Dragon. He is the vice leader of the Yokohama Liumang Chinese mafia gang. He runs the Yokohama Trading company, which provided the funds for the Yokohama Liumang. Through Zhao's admission, it can be inferred that Mabuchi is a talented person thanks to him being good at math and a polyglot. Zhao recounts on how Mabuchi has great aspiration not unlike Ichiban, which is enough for Zhao to appoint him as his right-hand man. He's also assertive, easy to understand, and has clear goals, which enables him to gain loyalists and set a power base to launch a mutiny. However, Mabuchi has a tendency to resort to violence and not above breaking the rules. Mabuchi appears to be well-educated, as Zheng stated that he's a college graduate and fluent in Chinese, English, and Korean. some of his henchmen call him "Lao Ma(老馬)", means "Professor Ma" in Chinese. ("Lao(老)" means 老师(lǎoshī : Teacher, Master, Professor)).
