Patriarchy personality type is ESTJ, the protector. The Patriarch type is the one who is in control, the one who takes care of everyone, the one who can provide for everyone, the one who is the head of the family, the one in charge. It isn’t a bad thing, these are just personality types.
What happens when a Patriarch begins to feel as if he is not in control or not as capable as he used to be? What happens when his children or wife begin to assert themselves? The ESI (exceptionally sensitive and intuitive) type can become overwhelmed, emotional, and scared. The ESTJ personality type will most likely take action and start controlling them, pushing them away. The ESTJ will most likely begin to feel even more overwhelmed, angry, and sad.
These emotions can cause him to lash out and get even more frustrated. A good example of this would be when this ESI/ESTJ starts to feel as if he is no longer in control. This can cause him to question: “What am I doing wrong? How can I make this better?” In an attempt to make things better, he will try to regain the control he feels he’s lost.
Patriarchy is a system based on gender hierarchy. Man is the base of the family, the women have almost no power, women must submit to their husband, the man is the ultimate authority of the family, the eldest man is the most respected member and the objective is to sustain a society by passing values with gender hierarchy.
