Monica McBride personality type is ENFP, or Extraverted, Intuitive, Feeling, Perceiving. I knew this thing was all about the “Feeling” and then, she said it was about “Perceiving,” which is one of my other personality types. I am INFJ, or Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, Judging. I knew my type was different from Monica’s, so I was curious to see what she had to say about it.
“You know me so well already,” I commented.
“I know you so well, but I am glad that you are still learning about yourself and your type,” she said without a hint of sarcasm in her voice.
It suddenly dawned on me that Monica was using the same strategy I was using with my kids: getting them to talk about themselves by asking questions. But the difference was that Monica was not using the questions to teach me something new. She was using them to get her kids to talk about themselves and their interests.
I had never seen someone use a strategy like this with a child before. I had no idea how Monica was doing it.
