Shuntarō Chishiya personality type is INTJ, and it's very rare to see someone with such a low EQ (I use the term "low" very lightly, since his EQ is pretty damn high, but it's still rare to see someone with such a low EQ) and such a high IQ. It's also not very often you see one who is so weak in logic and such a strong empath.
His logician side is very strong. He is very good at thinking through things and solving problems logically, and he can be logically persuasive. The problem with this is, as the old saying goes, "logic is a poor substitute for experience." His reasoning can lead him to go down logical paths that he simply has no data to support.
This is why, for example, he almost immediately believed that the one-year-old/two-year-old/three-year-old theory was impossible. Logic gave him the answer he wanted, but his experience told him that it was impossible.
He wasn't wrong, but he was being logical without good data to support it. He even said that he felt guilty for believing that it was impossible, but he really just couldn't find any data to support his theory.
