I could go on. Solid Snake is just so damn inconsistent. The anime changes the personality around enough that we can't really get a good grasp on who he is. What's worse, though, is that he's not even consistent with his own personality. For example, the first game starts off with his childhood friends calling him "the Embarrassed One" because he doesn't want to be in plays or participate in school activities because he's too busy fixing the world. But then later in the game he acts like a total dick to them when they go into a ninja training facility to learn all sorts of crap. He acts like a total asshat to them for no reason and embarrasses them. But then at the end of the game he hugs one of them and shows signs of guilt and sadness. What the fuck?
Solid Snake is the epitome of inconsistency, and he's the main character of a game that he was supposed to be the main character.
