"U.S. Agent" is the code name of the character Luke Cage in the Marvel comic book "Power Man and Iron Fist". This character is modeled on the "Daredevil" character of the same name. He is the son of Reva Connors, a mobster turned government operative turned superhero, who was later killed by the villainous Kingpin.
The original "Power Man and Iron Fist" comic book was created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane, and first appeared in "Marvel Premiere" #47 (May 1976). The comic book was retitled "Power Man" in "Power Man and Iron Fist" #1 (May 1978) and continued in this title until its conclusion in issue #23 (January 1984). The "Power Man and Iron Fist" series was replaced with "Power Man and Iron Fist" vol. 2, which featured Luke Cage as one of its main characters. Volume 2 ran for 12 issues, ending in February 1986. The final issue of the volume was reprinted in "Iron Fist: The Living Weapon" #1 (May 1993).
