Astronomy personality type is INTP, which means I am the "Theory" type. My main interest is astrophysics, and I have a strong interest in the universe. It's just that I don't really know what that means for me. For me, it's just something that intrigues me, that I often want to know.
I'm really interested in science, but not in the traditional sense. I'm not obsessed with science like an engineer might be -- I'm just interested in the stuff that makes our world work. That's why I'm an INTP, and why I'm fascinated by theoretical physics.
Do I ever get bored with physics? Well, no, but when I'm in a lecture, I'll listen from my computer in the back of the room because it's a really good excuse to daydream and not pay attention. And it's a lot easier to daydream about theoretical physics than about a lecture on electromagnetism!
I have a kind of hard time grasping new concepts when it's not something I'm already familiar with. But once I get my head around it, I can't stop thinking about it. It's like my brain is trying to explain it to my brain.
