Deborah personality type is ISTJ, which means that she is a responsible, practical, and traditional type. She likes things to be organized and in place, and she's a meticulous and detail-oriented person. And that's how she pays her bills. She is a good listener and she makes a good counselor, because she's not afraid to tell the person directly what she thinks of their particular situation.

Deborah is a loyal person, which means that she is trustworthy and dependable. She doesn't like to be in debt and she doesn't like to be taken advantage of. She is very diligent and works hard at her job, whether it's as a professor or a professor/researcher.

Deborah is a moral person and she tries to do the right thing. Because of this, she is a very spiritual person and has a strong sense of ethics. She used to have very strong religious convictions, but over time her beliefs began to soften and change. For instance, when Deborah was young, she was very religious and went to church every Sunday until she was 20 years old.

According to the Book of Judges, Deborah (Hebrew: דְּבוֹרָה‎, Dəḇōrāh, "bee"; Arabic: دبوراه‎, Dabūrāh) was a prophetess of the God of the Israelites, the fourth Judge of pre-monarchic Israel and the only female judge mentioned in the Bible. Many scholars contend that the phrase, "a woman of Lappidot", as translated from biblical Hebrew in Judges 4:4 denotes her marital status as the wife of Lappidot, or "Lappidoth" as listed in many Bible translations. Alternatively, "lappid" translates as "torch" or "lightning", therefore the phrase, "woman of Lappidot" could be referencing Deborah as a "fiery woman." Deborah told Barak, an Israelite general from Kedesh in Naphtali, that God commanded him to lead an attack against the forces of Jabin king of Canaan and his military commander Sisera (Judges 4:6–7); the entire narrative is recounted in chapter 4.
