I do not see my personal world in the same way that my fellow INTPs do. I am not primarily interested in the details of my personal life. When I was in my twenties, I was into psychology and philosophy. I was curious about what made people tick. But when I got older, I wanted to go beyond what was said in books.
I wanted to find out what was really going on inside people’s heads. This is an INTP thing to do, because we are interested in how people think. We want to know the real answer. We want to know what really happens when people act in particular ways.
This is how I ended up in my early thirties in a mental hospital. I had taken LSD and had my major breakdown. At that time, my best friend in the world was an INTP named Paul. He was friendly with another INTP named Jeff.
Keith Noel Emerson (2 November 1944 – 11 March 2016) was an English keyboardist, songwriter, and composer. He played keyboards in a number of bands before finding his first commercial success with the Nice in the late 1960s. He became internationally famous for his work with the Nice, which included writing rock arrangements of classical music. After leaving the Nice in 1970, he was a founding member of Emerson, Lake & Palmer (ELP), one of the early progressive rock supergroups.
