Yaku Morisuke personality type is ESTJ, or “The Executive”. I have always been very much the leader, taking charge of situations, rather than allowing things to happen. I believe that if you are not in charge, then there is no way you can be successful. As a result, I have always been very active in sports, playing basketball, volleyball, or any other sport where I could take control of the situation. It was only when I was in high school that I encountered leadership problems. I was very much the leader of my group, but it was because of my overbearing attitude that the others began to resent me. One day, I heard someone say, “I’m glad that you are not our leader anymore.” I was devastated.
It was not until I went to college that I learned to listen to others and that other people had things that they wanted to say. The first person I asked was my roommate. She told me that I had become too much of a dictator and that I needed to allow others to be more involved so that they could learn more about leadership. It was only then that I realized how I had begun to hurt other people because of my actions.
