Social Darwinism personality type is ENTJ, which is the "J" for "judge," an extrovert and a leader. I'm not saying this is a perfect theory and that there are no people with this type who are shy, but I'm saying that the majority of the people who fit the stereotype are extroverts.
I spent my entire childhood reading books by introverted and shy writers, like Kurt Vonnegut and Ernest Hemingway, so I can't say I was totally ignorant of this (or any) personality type. I just didn't really realize how many people fit the stereotype, or how prevalent it really was.
I've always had an urge to write, but I never wanted to write about myself. I never wanted to write about my own life story, because I knew that there were many people out there who would think, "Oh my god, she's so weird! She's so weird! She's so weird!" and I didn't want that.
I wanted to write about things that were interesting to my friends and colleagues – but I really didn't want to write about myself. It felt a little weird to me.
